WELCOME BACK…..

..to children returning to school for their second year


…to Emma who works in the under three’s centre and will be returning in October after her maternity leave

Welcome ….


..to new children starting in the under three’s centre and the school centre


…….children who have moved from the under three’s centre to the school building over the summer have all settled well thanks to the transition visits


School Funds

School fund has increased to £1.50 each week. Please pay this every Monday. It
pays for your child’s snack as well as baking and cooking ingredients, materials
for sensory activities and extra resources


Help Us..

….by not putting belts on children’s trousers - this well help them be able to use the toilet by themselves


...We need some underpants for when we change little boys


–have you any you could give us?


Books

You can choose a book with your child and take it home. The library book baskets will be in the entrance area every day at the start of the session

You can change the book as often as you wish


Holiday Club 2008

Children who came for holiday club over the summer had a great time. They made a scarecrow for a competition at Mrs Kenny's gardening club show and guess what
…. They won first prize!!! You can see the scarecrow and the prize certificate in school.

What will your child be learning this term?

New children in both buildings will have their assessment files started during
September. We assess the following areas:


• Vocabulary– we check each child’s vocabulary as this is an important part of developing language and communication skills.
• Social skills
• We assess children’s well being and self esteem
• we look at how they make relationships with other children and adults
• We look at how they use the resources and areas
