Your Child and Books

You can help your child to choose a library book to read at home.

The library is open on Tuesday ,Wednesday and Thursday.

Each group has a different basket of books so that the books will be at the right level for your child’s understanding of English

Look at the book with your child every day – talking about the pictures and reading the story if you can.

Your child will not be able to read the book yet but talking about the pictures and listening to the story will help them get ready for reading when they are older.

Children Learn through Play

You may think your child is

“just playing”

Play is the most important way young children learn. We plan play activities very carefully to make sure children get the best experiences and learn new skills.

Coats and Hats Please put your childs' name in their coats and hats. They must have a coat every day.

Contact Details Please make sure we have an emergency contact number so that we can contact you if your child becomes ill

Some parents are sending relatives to collect children who are not listed on the form.

YOU MUST TELL US IF SOMEONE ELSE IS COMING FOR YOUR CHILD
       -   and they must know the password you have given us

We will not let any one else take you child home
We will not let anyone under 16 years old take your child home unless you have signed a letter to say you accept responsibility.

NURSERY EDUCATION IS VERY IMPORTANT– it gives your child the foundation for all later educational development.
Please bring your child on time and every day– if you don’t bring your child regularly then we will give the place to another child – we have a long waiting list
