Ofsted Inspection

The school and daycare will be inspected on Thursday 6th and Friday 7th November

All parents have been asked to fill in  a questionnaire telling the inspectors what you think about our centres. Please return this before 3pm on Thursday 6th November

There are also questionnaires from me asking you how you feel your child has settled with us. .


Christmas Raffle

Christmas raffle

We will be having a raffle in December to raise money for the Christmas activities.

We would be grateful if you could bring us prizes


Snow White

 Children from the over three’s centre will be going to see the pantomime “Snow White and The Seven Dwarves” at the Albert Hall in Bolton

On Tuesday 2nd December  leaving school at 9.15 and returning at 1 o’clock

Tuesday 16th December leaving school at 12.45 and returning at 4.30

 We have a limited number of tickets for children and parents

The  cost  of the coach and the tickets is £8 each

Please ask at the office if you would like a ticket

Please come into school to talk to your child’s key adult

about their progress on the following days:-

Circle group – Miss Valli- Wednesday 26th November  and

Thursday 27th November

Star group – Miss Powell Wednesday 26th and 

Thursday 27th November

Triangle group- Mrs Settle- Tuesday 25th November

Square group – Miss Mason -Monday 24th November

 Under three’s centre-

Please make an appointment to see you child’s key person on

Tuesday 25th November,  Wednesday 26th November and 

Thursday 27th November  at a time that is convenient to you

Under Three's

Developing fine motor skills

Threading pasta and weetos onto pipe cleaners and wool

 Cutting-  magazines, straws, ribbons, shape templates,

Construction and small world- tolotoys magnetic blocks mobilo, train set, farm and jungle animals tool kits

Sensory –fabrics to explore, birds with noises, smelly pots and bags, feathers, tinsel food tasting – apples

Treasure baskets-shiny objects, everyday objects, shredded paper, kitchen utensils, shells, wooden objects

Tasting fruit and vegetables

Role play dressing dolls, hairdressers, camping, teddy bears picnic, making dens,

Music and movement-skittles, dancing to African music

Outdoor –bikes, prams, planks for balancing, sand and buckets and spades, water painting, collecting leaves

MESSY PLAY- play dough with smells, pasta, glitter and sequins. Ice wet and dry spaghetti

Manipulative- custard, jelly, angel delight, mashed potato, cornflour. Cleaning tables and chairs with wet cloths hanging washing on line coloured sand with small spoons and sieves

Sand –with twigs , cars, pebbles , rocks, bottle tops, Water –lavender oil, twigs, watering cans, bathing babies with bubbles, slimy water swamp with blue jelly and bugs!

Mark making-with gloop , rice pudding, shaving foam. Printing with fruit and potatoes

Glue-coloured glue , glitter, fabric, magazines, pasta rice confetti lentils, straws

 


Over Three's

Developing fine motor skills-

Threading- making necklaces with cheerios threading round shapes

Cutting- leaf shapes, witches hats, stars, fireworks

Manipulative-pasta , glitter, clay, mash potato shaving foam, fresh fish, dinosaurs in green jelly

Physical play-balancing crawling climbing

Ball play-footballs and nets

ICT- bip and bop, Romer dressed as Bob the builder, 2 simple music, musical toys

Construction – natural materials woodwork bench blocks and fabric

Outdoor classroom –feeding the birds, autumn match and treasure hunt Painting-printing with leaves, bricks , sponges

Gluing- dried flowers fabric autumn canvas- leaves cones twigs

Role play – house at night – bedtime, cleaning house, caves, builders yard, camping

Science and investigation –torches and light sticks, bulb planting, spinners rainbows and kaleidoscopes, discovery boxes

Baking –sandwiches, spider web biscuits, treacle toffee, black peas

Drawing- firework pictures, witches hats, lights and candles
