Booster Seats

I have mentioned in previous newsletters that it is illegal to have your child in the car without a booster seat or seat belt.

The community police are very concerned about the number of parents breaking the law in this respect. They are focusing their attention on this school and will be issuing spot fines of £80 and 3 penalty points on your licence if they see parents with children not strapped in.

Over Three's Farm Trip

We will be taking the children to Smithill’s farm on the following dates

Morning children - Thursday 13th may

Afternoon children - Thursday 20 May

Daycare children will go on both days if they have care on these days

This trip is a full day from 9-4 and school is closed on both days so your child will be off on the day they are not on the trip

You will be given a letter with more details

Mobile Phones

Our safeguarding procedures require that you do not use mobile phones when you are in our buildings near the children

Staff attended a Saturday conference in April and have got some ideas that they want to try - Hajra will be trying exciting activities with Baby talc.

Thank you to parents who have brought in spare clothes for us to use.

Governor News

Governors have been working with the head teacher to write the self evaluation plan ready for the next OFSTED inspection. This will help us to write the next development plan for September

Governors have also been meeting with staff to look at areas of the curriculum and how these can be developed.

We have a vacancy for a parent governor- if you wish to be a governor you need to commit to the following

•A curriculum meeting one Friday every six weeks from 1-2.30pm
•A committee meeting from 5-7 pm once a term
•a full governors meeting from 5-7pm once a term

please ask Mrs Bromley in  the school office for more details.

Mrs Bromley works on Thursdays and Fridays

Ben 10

Children like Ben 10 and often make Ben 10 watches in our cutting area

Some children have been bringing toy Ben ten watches to school and this is causing a problem because other children think the watch belongs to them and get upset when they can’t have it. These watches all look the same and the staff don’t know which one belongs to which child. Please  ask your child to leave the toy Ben 10 watch at home and make one at school.
