Resourced Places

We have children in this school who are in our “resourced” places. These children have additional or specific needs that we support them with. The criteria for these places is

∙ Communication difficulties
∙ Moderate learning difficulties
∙ Mobility difficulties
∙ Underdeveloped social skills
∙ Medical reasons

These places are allocated by children’s services Special Needs Dept.

You may not know who these children are because they are included in everything the other children do. Our policy is the same for all children– to help each child be the best that they can be and to develop as individuals. All children are encouraged to be eager, lively learners who find their own way of doing things. The children with specific needs are given extra adult support to help them make progress we share our strategies with parents so that they work with us to help their child develop and learn at the right level and pace.

Over Three's Trip

Trip days are:
Thursday 15th May –all day
Thursday 22nd May—all day

School is closed on these days as all the staff will be going with the children

You should have had a letter– please bring the slip with the money before May 6th

If your child does not go on the trip they need to stay at home on these two days
This trip is part of the work we are doing this term and all children are expected to go . Young children need to have first hand, real experiences before they can start to talk, draw , paint and pretend about things. If your child does not go to the farm then the work we do will not be as effective for their learning.

You need to send back the slip telling us why your child is not going otherwise you will be asked to pay

All children must wear old clothes and proper shoes– they will be running , climbing and touching animals. We will groom a pony and help to milk the cows.

We provide all the food and drinks— your child does not need to bring anything

The bus leaves school promptly at 9 o’clock—if you are late your child will miss the trip

Please note—children who come for paid full daycare may be taken on both days but you only need to pay for one trip-bring your child to school at the ususal times – there will still be daycare at the beginning and end of the day.
