Events this month

Filming in the under three’s centre

We will be having some filming done in the under three’s centre on Tuesday March 3rd .

This is for a DVD produced by an international organisation called OMEP .

They have already filmed outdoor activities in the over three’s centre.

We took information from parents when your child was admitted that tells us if you do not wish your child to be photographed or filmed.

If you do not want your child to be filmed next week please inform Vanessa.

Circus Gym

Ollie Wotherspoon will be in the over threes centre on March 4th  to work with the children on physical activities linked to circus skills of juggling, plate spinning balancing etc..

We will include these activities on out plans for March – please look at the plans on the wall

Small groups of over three’s children will go to the science museum for a session on SPACE  On

Tuesday 24TH March and Thursday 26th March

This month is the season of Lent for Christian families. It started on Wednesday February 25th which was

 Ash  Wednesday

Lent should be a season of penitence prayer and fasting and traditionally people give up their favourite food such as chocolate or alcohol for the season to show sacrifice and commitment.

Lent is broken half way through on Mothering Sunday  when people can indulge and eat their favourite foods for one day.

Lent finishes on Easter Sunday which this year is April 12th and we celebrate with chocolate eggs  the egg is a symbol of new life.

Help your child help themselves

Shoes

Children must wear proper shoes when they come to our centres. Flip flops and sandals are not safe . You will be asked to take your child home to change shoes if they come in ones that are not suitable

Coats

please make sure your child comes in a coat- we play outside everyday and it is still quite cold. It would be very helpful if you could put your child’s name inside their coat.

Belts

children find it difficult to go to the toilet themselves if they are wearing a belt and may have an accident . This is not good for their self esteem- please make sure they can get their own trousers /pants down.

Help us

Please don’t park in the school driveway

Some parents and staff are concerned about other parents parking their cars across the school gates. This is dangerous for the children and also inconvenient for staff who need to get out of the car park and are blocked in.

thank you for your cooperation

Pram free zone

If you take your child to the under three’s in a pram can you please leave your pram in the pram store before you take your child into nursery- prams parked in the nursery rooms are causing a safety hazard    thank you
