Help your child help themselves

Shoes

Children must wear proper shoes when they come to our centres. Flip flops and sandals are not safe . You will be asked to take your child home to change shoes if they come in ones that are not suitable

Coats

please make sure your child comes in a coat- we play outside everyday and it is still quite cold. It would be very helpful if you could put your child’s name inside their coat.

Belts

children find it difficult to go to the toilet themselves if they are wearing a belt and may have an accident . This is not good for their self esteem- please make sure they can get their own trousers /pants down.

Primary School

You should have had a letter from the council this month telling you which primary school your child will go to in September. Please tell  Mrs Atcha or Mrs Mohmed in the school office If you haven’t received a letter.  You need to accept the primary school place by March 27th

Text Messages

Have you been receiving the text messages we have sent you? If you haven't then please check with the school office and make sure we have the correct number.

Can parents of children in the under three’s centre give Vanessa your mobile number and then we can also send you messages

Events

This month is the season of Lent for Christian families. It started on Wednesday February 17th which was  Ash  Wednesday

Lent should be a season of penitence, prayer and fasting and traditionally people give up their favourite food  such as chocolate or alcohol for the season to show sacrifice and commitment.

Lent is broken half way through on Mothering Sunday March 14th  when people can indulge and eat their favourite foods  for one day.

Lent finishes on Easter Sunday which this year is April 4th and we celebrate with chocolate eggs  -  the egg is a symbol of new life.
