Raffle

WE WILL BE HAVING OUR RAFFLE THIS MONTH TICKETS ARE 50 PENCE EACH AND THERE ARE LOTS OF PRIZES INCLUDING:

ALL THE MONEY MADE ON THE RAFFLE WILL PAY FOR THE CHRISTMAS PARTIES AND PRESENTS


You will be given some tickets to sell to your family and friends The raffle will be drawn on Wednesday December 20th BRING THE STUBS BACK TO UNDER THREE’S CENTRE OR SCHOOL


Parents Please Note

If your child has Diarrhoea then you must keep them at home for 24 hours We have to follow the guidelines from the Department of Health set out in the “control of infectious diseases” handbook to ensure that we minimise the risk to children and staff.


Custom Christmas Cards

Would you like a Christmas card with your child’s photograph on?


These are nice to give to family and friends We charge 75 pence for each card to cover printing costs Please tell Mrs Kenny or Mrs Allen if you would like us to make some for you

Christmas Trees

The Christmas trees will be delivered to both buildings on December 3RD We will have our (vegetarian) Christmas dinner in both centres on the 17th December


Christmas Post Box

From Monday December 10th there will be a post box in the under three’s centre and school for your child to put Christmas cards in for their friends


Good News

Miss Emma Peachey who works in the under three’s centre has had a baby boy—hid name is Jakob


New Staff

WE WILL BE EMPLOYING NEW STAFF TO WORK IN OUR UNDER THREE’S CENTRE AFTER CHRISTMAS

We have made some changes to the organisation of the unit


Bee Active

All 3 and 4 year olds will receive a bee active pack from the toy library provided using lottery money These will be given out on Wednesday 7th November .


Christmas Events

ON MONDAY 18th DECEMBER THE 3 AND 4 YEAR OLDS WILL PERFORM A SIMPLE NATIVITY PLAY AT 10.45 AND 3.15. In the school

SOME OF THE OLDER CHILDREN WILL DRESS UP AS THE CHARACTERS AND ACT OUT THE STORY. PLEASE COME AND WATCH


Christmas Parties

UNDER THREE’S PARTY

Wednesday 19th December December Magician for older children at 9.30 Party food 10 0’clock Father Christmas at 10. 30 Children who don't come on a Wednesday are welcome to come to the party . You will need to stay with your child at the party.


SCHOOL PARTY


Thursday 20th December MORNING CHILDREN COME AT 9 O’CLOCK AND GO HOME AT 11.30 AFTERNOON CHILDREN COME AT 1 O’CLOCK AND GO HOME AT 3.30


Alexandra children’s centre party is on 18th December between 12 and 3 o’clock Cost is £1 for adults and 50p for children


Performance

Live arts will perform the story “Laura’s Star “ in the centre on Monday 17th December Numbers are limted and by ticket only—tickets are free . Please ask at the centre reception desk for more details


This Month we are celebrating Christmas and Eid

This is the Christian festival which celebrates the birth of Jesus.


We give each other presents and eat a special meal on December 25th.


We have special services in the church and visit our families.


We will be
 making cards
 Decorating the Christmas tree, and making our own decorations
 Performing a nativity play to tell the Christmas story,
 Writing letters to Father Christmas.
 Making Christmas food


The children in the under three’s centre will be making cards, tree decorations and party hats


Our Muslim friends will also be celebrating Eid ul Hadha at this time around the 20th of December


School Closures

SCHOOL CLOSES FOR HOLIDAYS AFTER THE PARTY ON THURSDAY DECEMBER 20th SCHOOL OPENS ON MONDAY 7th January 2008


DAYCARE WILL CLOSE at 6 O’CLOCK ON THURSDAY 20ND DECEMBER AND RE-OPEN ON TUESDAY 2ND JANUARY


THE CENTRE IS CLOSED FROM 25TH DECEMBER UNTIL 2ND JANUARY A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE
