OFSTED Report

All parents should have received a copy of the report. Please ask if you have not had one.

It is a very good report

The two areas for development are ones that I had identified to the inspectors and we are already working on.

Admissions

All the new children have now settled into the school.

We have admitted 90 children during September October and November.

These admissions dates are based on when children's birthdays are – we send out letters to oldest children first in line with the Council’s admission policy. Parents who return their forms quickly get the earliest admission dates. We only admit 10 children each week as this allows each child to get as much attention as possible from the staff. When all the children have settled and we have been able to complete our first assessments and get to   know them we have parents days. We have also admitted 5 children for daycare in the over three’s building and 20 children into the under three’s centre. Seven children who have had their third birthday have transferred from the under three’s centre to the school building.

If you were not able to come to parents day in November and would still like to talk to your child’s teacher then please ask to make an appointment.

Attendance

It is important that your child attends every day. Children in

the school will be given attendance certificates for attendance

over 95% this term. Congratulations to children who have

been given certificates  for good attendance
