Please make a hat at home with your child – decorate with Easter or spring things like eggs chickens flowers

Morning children -bring the hat at 10.30 - we will give you a cup of coffee and a hot cross bun         The children will wear their hats at 11 o’clock and parade for you

You can help at home

Small groups of over three’s children have been to the science museum for a session on SPACE

We are learning this song to help with counting and numbers

5 little men in a flying saucer

Flew round the world one day

They looked to left and right of it

And didn't like the sight of it  so 1 man flew away  “ how many left?  4”

4 little men in a flying saucer

Flew round the world one day

They looked to left and right of it

And didn't like the sight of it  so 1 man flew away  “ how many left?  3”

3 little men in a flying saucer

Flew round the world one day

They looked to left and right of it

And didn't like the sight of it  so 1 man flew away  “ how many left?  2”

2 little men in a flying saucer

Flew round the world one day

They looked to left and right of it

And didn't like the sight of it  so 1 man flew away  “ how many left?  1”

1 little man in a flying saucer

Flew round the world one day

he looked to left and right of it

And didn't like the sight of it  so 1 man flew away  “ how many left?  0”

Use this song to help your child to

Count   forwards and backwards                          recognise numerals

talk about adding and taking away                talk about zero -0 or nothing

Ask your child  these questions

Where did the space men go when they flew away?   what do we call our world?

What is it like in space/   how do we get to the moon?

Food Reminder

Please don’t send your child to our centres with food or sweets.

We recently found a child giving food from a bag to other children

We have to be very careful that children are not given food that makes them ill or goes against religious beliefs. There are children in our centres who are allergic to milk and so we make sure they don’t eat chocolate

If your child has food in their bag please tell a member of staff and we can put it somewhere where the food is safe and other children cannot get it.
