A visit from Lofty the Lion!

It was our Sports Day today and we had a special visit from Lofty the Lion – the official mascot for Bolton Wanderers Football Club!


Smithills Farm Trip

The children took a trip down to Smithills Farm. The farm was a great learning experience for them. The children really enjoyed themselves and learnt all about the different animals. The children were able to feed and touch some of the animals.  


Easter Celebrations and Hat Parade!

The children enjoyed our Easter celebrations and made a hat decorated with Easter and spring things The children all learnt our Easter song: 5 eggs and 5 eggs – that makes 10 Sitting on the top is the mother hen Crackle, crackle, crackle what do I see -10 yellow chicks fluffy as can be 1  2  3  4  5  6  7  8  9  10

Book Month

March is going to be our special book month. World Book Day is on Thursday 5th March – children can come to Nursery dressed as their favourite story book character. We will be having a sponsored story re-tell where children will be re-telling a story they know well to their teacher.  Please could you ask family and friends to sponsor your child to make this event

Football Skills

Harry – a community coach from Bolton Wanderers Community Trust comes in every week to introduce the children to football skills and develop fundamental movements through the use of football.  Social development, physical skills and hand eye coordination form the focus of these sessions.                        


Bad Weather Closure

If the weather is bad and we have lots of snow and ice then we may have to close the Nursery School and daycare because the staff are not able to get into work.
