A rich community of learners striving for excellence and celebrating success
We aim to provide the highest quality of education possible for students of all abilities. In doing so, we aim to positively encourage each child to achieve the best they can, develop friendships and social skills, enjoy being creative and imaginative, develop critical thinking skills and become lifelong learners and responsible citizens.
To achieve this, we will provide a diverse education in a safe, supportive environment that promotes self-discipline and motivation. We will provide and maintain a calm, trusting and caring atmosphere where teaching and learning are meaningful and developed. We will work in partnership with our staff, students, parents and wider community to achieve our vision.
Hello and welcome to the website of Alexandra Nursery School in Bolton, Lancashire.
We hope you will find this site interesting whether you are a parent looking for a place for your child or an early year’s worker looking for ideas or possibly a new job or a training placement.
Alexandra Nursery School is a local education authority school. We also have daycare for children aged 2-5 years on two sites.
Every child who is 3 or 4 years old or families that are entitled to 2 year old funding are entitled to a free 15 hours each week (paid for by the government). The children in this school come from a variety of cultural religions and backgrounds.
"I am very happy that my Child is well settled. Every day he wakes up so happy and is always cheerful and ready for nursery. Well Done!"
The Over 3’s daycare and Under 3’s Daycare are all part of Alexandra Nursery School. The Over 3’s is based in the nursery school on Willows Lane and the Under 3’s is based in Alexandra Children’s centre on Blackledge Street.
We work to the same principles and philosophies as the education part of the school – every child is a unique individual.
We believe that all children are individuals and need to learn in an environment that will allow them to grow as individuals and develop their own interests and talents. (we believe this is true for the adults who work here too).
